Knowledge Transfer and Research Agreements
The Research Authority at Bar-Ilan University is responsible for overseeing various aspects of research compliance and support, including the facilitation and regulation of knowledge transfer processes. These processes play a key role in enabling collaboration between researchers and external entities such as academic institutions, and government bodies.
Knowledge transfer may involve the exchange of research materials, data, and know-how, as well as the protection of confidential or proprietary information. To ensure that these exchanges are conducted in a manner that aligns with the university’s policies and obligations, the Research Authority handles a range of agreements such as Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), Data Transfer Agreements (DTAs), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), among others.
Researchers who are involved in sharing materials, transferring data, or entering into collaborative projects with external partners must coordinate with the Research Authority. This ensures that the university’s interests are safeguarded and that research activities comply with legal, ethical, and contractual standards.
