About Us

The Bar-Ilan University Research Authority (RA) is dedicated to promoting research innovation and excellence. We offer support to our researchers who are at the forefront of academic research in Israel and around the world.

We are a team of experienced research administrators who each specialize in a different geographic area. Our mission is to guide researchers through all stages of the grant process. To do this we:

• Identify funding opportunities in Israel and abroad, and share relevant opportunities with researchers according to their focus area.
• Support researchers with the preparation and submission of research proposals.
• Manage communication with funding agencies in Israel and internationally, from initial contact through the evaluation and budget stages.
• For European Union grants: assist with partner search for collaborative projects; provide external consulting support for researchers applying for ERC grants.
• Negotiate research contracts with funding agencies in Israel and abroad.
• Manage research budgets for both externally and internally funded projects, including monitoring compliance with all relevant requirements and budget utilization.
• Prepare and submit financial reports in accordance with relevant guidelines.
• Oversee the submission of follow-up scientific reports, as required by the funding agency.
